Greetings!
Well – that is, unless we’re no longer needed.
A strange thought has been running through my head of late. I would honestly love for no one to ever need my services again. I would love to never need to perform any kind of intervention, to never again get a call asking if we have enough room to take another child, to never again wonder what more I could do. I truly do like to think that my co-workers and I are working ourselves out of a job – that just maybe the combined efforts of everyone who cares will someday remedy society of her ills.
However, that day has not come…yet. Until then, I shall be here. My staff shall be here. For us to continue providing services, we need a lot of assistance, be it financial, donations of goods, physical labor, or even just thoughts and prayers. It all helps and is all laudable. I want to whole-heartedly thank everyone out there who has gone into making Concerned Citizens for Our Youth, Inc. what it is today and thank you in advance for assisting us to become what we will become tomorrow.
